Descripció del motor fotovoltaic

El motor fotovoltaic també s'anomena motor de control del sistema de seguiment fotovoltaic, s'utilitza per a equips de generació d'energia fotovoltaica fent girar el panell solar segons l'òrbita del sol. El motor fotovoltaic té una velocitat molt baixa, normalment 13 rpm, que coincideix amb la característica del motor d'engranatge planetari DC. Com que la relació de reducció de la caixa de canvis planetària pot ser molt gran per aconseguir una velocitat molt baixa.

Els següents motors poden resistir i funcionar bé en condicions meteorològiques adverses amb el seu ús segur i fiable, i satisfer les exigències de diversos tipus de sistemes de seguiment automàtic.
